Welcome to my blog!
I’m Elaine Giles and I’m an IT consultant based in Manchester, UK.
I switched to a Mac in April 2006 after what proved to be a life changing visit to an Adobe event previewing Lightroom. I can assure you working with computers has never been so rewarding nor so much fun.
Seriously, without moving to a Mac there would be no MacBites, the podcast dedicated to all things Apple I co-host with Mike Thomas.
In my professional life I run training courses in applications for end users, develop web sites, work as a system administrator and generally undertake myriad other computer related tasks.
I have a YouTube Channel with many training videos for design applications including Photoshop, Pixelmator, Acorn, Sketch and many more together with videos demonstrating the Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
One of my passions is designing slides and many of those I have designed and presented can be seen on my SlideShare page.
I’m also the User Group Manager of the North West Adobe Users Group an official Adobe User Group based in South Manchester. We run regular meetings so if you’re in the vicinity feel free to say Hi and if you’re not local you can still say Hi as all our meetings are broadcast live online too. Visit NWAG.co.uk for full details of our upcoming schedule.
So that’s me and I look forward to hearing from you with your comments.
