Snapshots inside Affinity Publisher? Absolutely!
While Affinity Publisher doesn’t natively support making snapshots there is a way to do it 🤯
The Snapshot functionality in Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo is currently missing from Affinity Publisher. Which doesn’t mean you can’t create Snapshots in your Affinity Publisher files … because you really can!
Seriously, this isn’t a “dirty hack” it’s a lateral extension of the fact that all 3 Affinity applications use a common file format. So Affinity Publisher files do actually support Snapshots BUT there is no interface within Affinity Publisher to create, manage or restore Snapshots. However, as long as you have access to Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo there is a simple solution: StudioLink.

Love your style – you cover just enough with the demo to allow me to extrapolate.
Thanks !
Glad you found it useful
To be honest, snapshots won’t work for me. My autobiography is about 1000 pages with over 500 linked photos. The file got so big, I had to break it into 4 export each separately and combine pdf’s using a MAC finder tool. I was one of the customers pushing for cross references so that I can auto label my figures. There is a bug when cross referencing a page. Anyway, I prefer if they added support for “the revert to” apple feature, as Publisher often crashes during a save. I have requested they add that feature.
