Elaine’s 2,000 km Challenge – Day 2 Update

by | 23 Jan 2017 | ASRF4050

As I mentioned Sunday is shopping day at MacBites HQ, not my favourite activity I can assure you. Luckily I was able to put it off until almost lunchtime as Mass was first, followed by our traditional cup of black tea in the Parish Centre. People were once again extremely generous with both their sponsorship and their support. Thank you to you all.

Sadly once the tea was consumed the shopping could be forestalled no longer and off we went. I am happy to report it was less painful than I expected and here’s the booty we returned with.

If all that looks alarmingly healthy, I’m reliably informed that’s because it is! Consider the salad aisle well and truly plundered *** mutters about eating like a rabbit ***

Before I knew it it was that time again and my 40 km was calling me. Given I was still aching from yesterday’s exertions it felt like every km was uphill but eventually, with the accompaniment of a suitably upbeat playlist, it was done. Yay!

80 km done, 1920 km to go.
