Elaine’s 2,000 km Challenge – Day 21 Update

by | 11 Feb 2017 | ASRF4050

The weekend starts here! Well it does when Mike is working from home on a Friday 😀

Sadly, I wasn’t spending the day in the usual comfort of my office as I had a client visit planned. The knock on effect of this was I was late starting today’s 40 km. While I am most definitely not a morning person I swear starting so late in the day means it takes longer to complete.

Could it be that those advocates of the joy of an early start are right? Could it be that starting early really is a great idea? Could it be that the “Miracle Morning” really is a thing?

One day I might find out! But it won’t be tomorrow … as I’ll doubtless still be recovering from today!

Meanwhile in light of the greenery shortage I’ve been reduced to replacing lettuce with kale. It has a texture that’s hard to explain and a taste that’s even more so! Still needs must as they say 😉

Kale is food? Who knew!

In the midst of much hilarity following along with my adventures it’s easy to forget that there is a serious side to all this. Our beautiful local church, home to an amazing community, is in desperate need of roof repairs. If you’ve been thinking of sponsoring my efforts to raise funds for this worthy cause then there’s no time like the present. Every penny raised goes straight to helping out. You can donate directly via PayPal or via the JustGiving page I’ve set up.

840 km done, 1160 km to go.
