Elaine’s 2,000 km Challenge – Day 4 Update

by | 25 Jan 2017 | ASRF4050

Day 4 already! My day started with a 2 hour dentist appointment at 8:30am … oh boy do I know how to live!

I briefly considered asking for some of the anaesthetic “to-go” to ease my aching legs but given the effect on my lips I thought better of it.

Then I took the brave/foolhardy/insane (delete as applicable) decision to do without the anaesthetic completely. Hey, after the agony of Day 2’s 40 km how bad could a total refit of 6 teeth be? That is a rhetorical question I can assure you! (But if you’re interested it wasn’t bad at all)

A two hour lie down? Albeit in a dental chair, what’s not to like! It was painless by comparison to the 40 km completed later in the day.

Never let it be said I don’t know how to enjoy myself!

160 km done, 1840 km to go.
