I use a whole range of video editing applications and for me one of the most natural ways to navigate the timeline in these apps is to use a pinch gesture on my trackpad. I actually bought a trackpad solely for this purpose, it’s all I use it for and to save time swapping between the mouse, my Shuttle Pro and the trackpad I use it left handed.
The problem is not all apps support this type of navigation and Camtasia 2 for Mac from TechSmith is one of the ones that doesn’t. But never one to be beaten I have hacked a solution to this oversight and share how you can do the same in this video tutorial.
